Kannapa Teaser: Akshay Kumar Returns As Lord Shiva With Fierce Prabhas; Stage Set For Epic Battle

The second teaser for Kannappa, a grand mythological drama, dropped on Saturday, giving audiences a thrilling glimpse into its larger-than-life universe. The film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and is led by a powerhouse ensemble including Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal and Prabhas. With epic storytelling with thrilling visuals, the teaser sets the stage for a tale of transformation, devotion, and divine power, rooted in the legend of Bhakta Kannappa.

At the heart of the teaser is Vishnu Manchu, who steps into the role of Thinnadu, a fierce and fearless warrior. The clip opens with scenes of war with epic score and dialogues.

The teaser also doesn’t hold back on star power. Akshay Kumar makes a striking appearance as Lord Shiva, exuding a godly aura, while Kajal Aggarwal complements him as Goddess Parvati. Mohanlal dominates the screen as Kirata but the teaser saves its most electrifying moment for the end, with Prabhas stepping in as Rudra in the final seconds. Each actor’s introduction is amplified by a pulsating background score and hard-hitting dialogues. This is a second time Akshay will portray Lord Shiva after OMG 2.

Produced by M. Mohan Babu, the film has already made waves internationally, earning a screening at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2024. With its worldwide release slated for April 25, anticipation is building for what could be one of the year’s biggest theatrical experiences.
