For the Vivienne Westwood fashion show in Mumbai, Radhika Merchant wore an archival Vivienne Westwood corset and scarf that she had paired with a saree.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the corset featured François Boucher’s painting ‘Daphnis and Chloe’.
Vivienne Westwood is all set to present their first-ever fashion show in India. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s Gateway of India, this fashion show was one of the most anticipated fashion events in the industry. Some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment are set to attend the show. Among them is Radhika Merchant. Ahead of the show, Rhea Kapoor shared Radhika’s OOTD and it is all things stunning and magical.
For the Vivienne Westwood show in Mumbai, Radhika Merchant opted for a Vivienne Westwood corset and scarf that she had paired over a custom ombre-hued Chanderi saree. The archival Vivienne Westwood pieces looked straight out of a Renaissance painting. Radhika looked stunning and ethereal in this look that blended art and history with fashion.

Talking about the look, Rhea wrote, “Vivienne Westwood’s Fall/ Winter 1990-91 ‘Portrait’ collection is one of her most important collections. The collection has a lot of firsts for Vivienne! It was the first appearance of the famous Vivienne Westwood Boucher corset. The corset features the painting ‘Daphnis and Chloe’ by French artist François Boucher.”
Radhika wore an Archival corset and scarf by Vivienne Westwood from her iconic 1990 A/W Portrait Collection. The corset features François Boucher’s famed painting – Daphnis and Chloe – on the bodice. This piece was the first time Vivienne reproduced a painting on a piece of clothing. She paired this corset with an ombre-hued chanderi saree. The saree was neatly draped on her like a skirt, and she wrapped the pallu around her arms. For the accessories, Radhika went with a statement pearl choker and statement earrings. She wrapped her mangalsutra around her wrists like a bracelet. She was styled by Rhea Kapoor.
For the glam, Radhika went with a flawless matte base. She added a sweep of blush on her cheeks for that flush of colour. She defined her eyes with a soft brown shade on her eyelids, mascara, and eyeliner. She tied her hair in a chic updo and finished her look with a soft brown shade on her lips.
