Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif Starrer Ek Tha Tiger To Re-Release In Theatres? Here’s What We Know

Directed by Kabir Khan, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger was one of the biggest hits of 2012. Having reportedly made on a budget of Rs 75 crore, it had earned Rs 320 crore worldwide. In India alone, the movie made Rs 263 crore gross and Rs 198.78 crore nett. Well, it was the first film in the YRF (Yash Raj Films) Spy Universe, which has since grown bigger.

As fans are awaiting to watch YRF’s upcoming spy film Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol, a few media reports suggest that Ek Tha Tiger will be re-released in the theatres. Yes, you read that right! According to News18, the fans might just get the opportunity to watch the film on the big screen and relive its magic again. It is to be noted that the re-release hasn’t been announced yet, however, the news created quite a buzz.

For those who don’t know, the news is making headlines weeks after their recently released film War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, failed to impress the audience and tanked at the box office. The movie was directed by Ayan Mukerji.

YRF’s spy thriller universe includes Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Salman Khan’s Tiger franchise, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir, and Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s upcoming film, Alpha.

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently seen hosting Bigg Boss 19. he was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ film Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. The movie failed to impress the critics as well as the audience. He will be next seen in the film Battle of Galwan. It tells the story of the battle that took place in June 2020, when Indian and Chinese troops clashed in the remote, high-altitude Galwan Valley of Ladakh. The confrontation had turned into one of the deadliest border skirmishes in over forty years.

Based on the best-selling novel, India’s Most Fearless, the actor will be essaying the role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu in the upcoming war drama. The movie also stars Chitrangda Singh, Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj in pivotal roles.
