Priyanka Chopra Admits She Is ‘Privileged’ But Still Feels Guilty To Leave Malti Marie To Shoot Films; Here’s Why
After conquering Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra travelled to Hollywood and became a global star. Not only did she become a household name in the USA but she also started a family with singer Nick Jonas. Now, at one of the busiest times in her career, Priyanka Chopra talked about balancing her work and motherhood.
In an interview with Quint Neon, Priyanka Chopra talked about how working mothers do not get enough credit. ”I was raised by a working mom and my mom’s sisters were working moms,” she stated while also including homemakers who work around the clock at home. She added, ”You have to surround yourself with a village, you have to make sure that you find a supportive partner”.
Talking about her own experiences, Priyanka Chopra admitted being privileged enough where she could bring her daughter Malti Marie to the sets with her. ”I have so many people around my daughter, but I still feel guilty when I go to set. So, I have her come to me,” she revealed. Both of her parents also worked.

”My mom used to take me to hospitals with her and I used to be in the nurses’ station playing with them… I would visit my dad’s office too… this is one thing that really helped me understand what my mom and dad were doing when they weren’t with me and I went to school,” Priyanka Chopra stated.
The actress also revealed what her daughter thinks about her job. ”My daughter thinks I do make-believe for a living. It is a little different,” Priyanka Chopra stated.
