Ground Zero Trailer: Emraan Hashmi Brings Forth One Of BSF’s Best Operations In Kashmir To The Screens

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is all set to return to the big screens with a powerful film. If the trailer of his upcoming film Ground Zero is anything to go buy, he will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar, a commanding Border Security Force (BSF) Commandant. The intense performance he has delivered in the trailer is proof enough of his acting prowess. Over the past few days, fans have been excited and intrigued to know more about the film.

Set in the year 2001, the film focuses on BSF’s anti-terrorist operation in Kashmir, India, a mission that reportedly had awarded them best operation in the last 50 years, in 2015. Hashmi is seen essaying the role of real-life BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. While Marathi actor Lalit Prabhakar plays his subordinate, actress Sai Tamhankar essays the role of his wife, a strong pillar of support for him.

The trailer starts with Prabhakar and other soldiers tracking a voice note. Chaos erupts in Kashmir as miscreants shoot a soldier and create terror. It is established that someone named Ghazi declares that he will seek revenge for Kashmir. As it is shared that 70 soldiers have been martyred, Mukesh Tiwari’s character demands his “best man” to be sent, which leads to the entry of Emraan’s character.

In the two minute 42 second trailer, it is then shown how Hashimi’s main goal is to make sure more kids from the area don’t take guns in their hands. As he continues his battle, Sai and Lalit help him in the quest. Zoya Hussain is also seen in the trailer.

One thing that stuck out in the trailer, was Emraan’s dialogue “Ab Prahaar Hoga,” to which his soldiers shout back. The motivation reminds one of Vicky Kaushal’s famous “How’s the josh?” dialogue from Aditya Dhar’s URI: The Surgical Strike.

Produced by Excel Entertainment Production, Ground Zero is directed by Tejas Deoskar. Set to release on the big screens on April 25, 2025, the movie stars Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, Lalit Prabhakar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, and others.
