Manoj Kumar’s Mortal Remains Reach Juhu Residence For Final Rites; Gets 21-Gun Salute: Watch
Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, known for his iconic patriotic and socially impactful roles, passed away on April 4 at the age of 87, leaving a significant void in Indian cinema. His last rites began on Saturday morning, with his mortal remains brought to his Mumbai residence. A video circulating on social media shows the actor being honored with a 21-gun salute, as police officers paid tribute with state honors. His final journey to the cremation ground is being led by his son Kunal Goswami and his grandsons.

Manoj Kumar was laid to rest with full state honors, his body draped in the national flag and accorded a 21-gun salute. A large gathering of close friends, family, and film industry colleagues, including filmmaker Ashok Pandit, attended the emotional farewell, offering each other support.

Manoj Kumar’s son, Kunal Goswami, confirmed his father’s passing and told ANI, “My father, Manoj Kumar, passed away at 3:30 AM today at Kokilaben Hospital. He had been unwell for quite some time but faced every challenge with strength and grace. By God’s grace and Sai Baba’s blessings, he passed away peacefully. Sia Ram.”
The cremation was scheduled for 11:30 AM at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle. The legendary actor had been under medical care since February 21 for chronic heart-related issues and passed away at 3:30 AM on Friday in a Mumbai hospital.
Following Manoj Kumar’s passing, veteran actor Dharmendra visited his residence in Mumbai to pay respects. Several Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Raveena Tandon, Subhash Ghai, and Anupam Kher, paid heartfelt tributes on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also honored the late actor, remembering him as a “legend” in a post on X.
