‘Privacy Is Important’: Avinash Tiwary On Female Fan Secretly Filming Him During Gym Session
Actor Avinash Tiwary has made a name for himself in the Hindi entertainment industry with his versatile performances and boy-next-door personality. As he started to gain more recognition, fans started expressing their adoration for him through their social media handles. Recently, one of his female fans, Arpita Thapa, took to her Instagram handle to share a video of his gyming session. However, she faced severe backlash for secretly filming him without his consent. Many even wondered how things would have looked if the genders were reversed in the matter.
Well, now the actor has reacted to everything, strongly stressing the importance of privacy. In an interaction with Hindustan Times, he spoke about his fan facing trolling and how he reached out to her to tell her not to pay mind to the hurtful comments. He explained to her that one needs to “value each other’s space.” Opening up about his conversation with Thapa, the actor stated that she was receiving a lot of trolling. He made sure to assure her not to worry about what people were saying, as he knew that she was coming from a place of love.

Establishing that he knew she was not a threat to him, he went on to add that her actions could, however, encourage others to do the same. The 39-year-old actor added, “I would always say that privacy is important. I didn’t want somebody to make a video like that. But I told her that now that you have made it, I know it has come because of love, and I respect that. It is sweet, but it seems a slightly stupid thing to do, honestly.”
Apart from being trolled for filming him without his consent, Avinash also addressed how some men in the comment section of Arpita’s post started questioning, “What if the genders were reversed?” Commenting on the same, he said, “The boys are commenting, saying, ‘Hum kardein agar ye gender reverse, to?’ But tum ho threat duniya ke liye, ladkiyon ke liye. If such boys stalk someone, they are a threat to them, so there is a distinction.” He concluded by stating that while the gesture was sweet, he thinks the privacy of people should be valued.
