Sanjay Dutt’s The Bhootnii And Ajay Devgan’s Raid 2 Struggle At Box Office On Day 2; Here’s How Much They Earned
Sanjay Dutt starrer The Bhootnii struggled to make over a crore on day 2 at the box office. The horror comedy failed to recreate the magic of the blockbuster Stree franchise. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the movie features Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, and Palak Tiwari, among others. With barely Rs 35 lakh on day 2, the movie has minted only Rs 95 lakh so far.
The Bhootnii was reportedly made at an overall budget of Rs 50 crores that’s inclusive of prints and advertising expenditure. Will they break even anytime soon?
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgan-starrer Raid 2 witnessed sluggish box office on day 2, earning only Rs 11.75 crore, which is a 38.96% drop from the opening day. The movie also lost over 150 shows on the second day. The global earning of the movie now stands at Rs 154.19 crore.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 was made on a budget of Rs 120 crore (reportedly). While the movie garnered mixed reviews, the performance of Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist earned applause from critics and audience alike.
With the weekend kicking in, both the movies, The Bhootnii and Raid 2, are expected to make some more moolah.
For now the top three Bollywood flicks on day one at the box office are 1) Chhaava – Rs 29 crore, 2) Sikandar – Rs 25 crore, and 3) Sky Force – Rs 11 crore.
