Shark Tank India: Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Call Out Young Pitcher Over Fake Apology; ‘Speak The Truth’

It is said that some of the biggest businessmen in the world are college dropouts. However, many fail to take into account that the colleges in question are Harvard, Yale and more prestigious universities in the world. It looks like even Shark Tank India season 3 judges do not recommend students dropping out of schools/colleges to pursue business.

As reported by Times Of India, two young pitchers, Siddharth Madhav (18) and Ha Tada (24), introduced their tech solution business, Alien Versions. They asked for ₹50 lakhs for 5 per cent equity. The judges enquired to know more about the young entrepreneurs and were stumped to hear Ha Tada’s story.

Ha Tada revealed that he left his home two years ago and has ceased contact with his parents ever since. He was studying in a ‘reputed’ college where he was sure to get a job. However, failure to bag a job led to Ha Tada’s idea of doing something innovative. Upon his parents’ refusal to support his dream, he left his home.

Ha Tada also hinted that he left college to pursue business. Vineeta Singh asked the young pitcher about his parents to which he replied, ”My parents are just farmers, the last time I remember”. He added, ”As they were worried, I called them and asked for 3 years, I’ll try everything I can and will return if I am not able to. They said okay.”

Upon Ritesh Agarwal’s and other Sharks’ advice, Ha Tada sent his parents a message and even apologized for leaving home. He also stated that he regretted his decision. However, the Sharks did not accept his apology and felt like he was faking it. Aman Gupta even called him ‘Bachkana’ and backed out of the deal. Vineeta Singh called out Ha Tada over his fake apology and opined that he has ‘ego issues’.

Ha Tada later revealed that he moved back to Itanagar for his business. When asked if his parents are aware of his return, he answered, ”They may know”. Anupam Mittal had enough of him and stated, ”Mujhe lagtaI hai aapko dramebaazi ka bohot shauq hai. Zindagi chalti hai seekh se, speak the truth”.
