Over the past few months, the movie has been in the news for many reasons. From Khan announcing that Anand would be directing the project instead of Sujoy Ghosh, to reports of Deepika Padukone being approached to play Suhana Khan’s, who is also a part of the film, mother, King has been garnering a lot of excitement.

Now, amidst all the reports, Siddharth has taken to his official social media handle to hint at something, leaving fans wondering if they would soon officially announce the high-octane actioner. On Tuesday, taking to his X (formerly known as Twitter), the director posted, “May 2025!”

His tweet has certainly left the fans buzzing with excitement, thinking that he is hinting about his upcoming project. When a curious netizen asked him, in the comment section of his tweet, “Siddharth Anand reads everything I guess.” Reverting to the comment, he affirmed and said, “Yup, he does.”

Considering SRK’s daughter Suhana turns 25 on May 22, 2025, netizens have been left wondering if King will be announced on the special day. It would certainly be exciting to finally get more details on the much-awaited film of 2025-26.

For those who don’t know, King was earlier supposed to be a collaboration between SRK and Sujoy Ghosh. Confirming the news, the 59-year-old had revealed that the film was an action drama, a kind of project he had been wanting to do for “seven, eight years,” during an interaction at the Locarno Film Festival. He had added, “We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice, because we wanted it to be very emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, massy, action, emotional film.”
According to media reports, Siddharth Anand directorial King will star Shah Rukh Khan, along with his daughter Suhana Khan, Munjya fame Abhay Verma in pivotal roles. It was also reported that Abhishek Bachchan will be essaying an antagonistic role. The makers of the film, King, are yet to officially announce anything else.
