The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’s Raghav Juyal Reveals Why Aryan Khan Doesn’t Smile On Camera: ‘Usko Bahot Pasand Hai…’
Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, is making his directorial debut with the Netflix series The Bastards of Bollywood, set to premiere on September 18, 2025. While Aryan resembles a younger Shah Rukh Khan, unlike his father, who often smiles for the paparazzi, Aryan avoids smiling in front of cameras.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, actor Raghav Juyal, who stars in the series, explained why. He said, “He has a phobia of smiling in front of the camera. He won’t smile in front of the camera, usko bahot pasand hai attitude mein rehna. But, with us he makes faces as well. He has a very childlike energy in him. But, camera ke saamne uski aadat hai (of not smiling), jo mujhe bahot achcha lagta hai aur ladkiyon ko bhi.” Raghav added, “Maine usko bola hai ke main ek din hasaunga zaroor camera ke aage, (he said) ‘no no bro don’t do that’. Toh jab bhi mujhse milta hai, main usko bolta hu hasunga main tujhe pakka.” However, co-star Lakshya noted, “Even if he does those photos are never getting out.”
The series features Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, and Mona Singh, with cameo appearances by Bollywood stars like Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. The show’s preview, launched last month, was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, and the cast and crew, generating strong buzz. The trailer has also heightened excitement, setting high expectations for The Bastards of Bollywood.
