Vikas Khanna Reveals What Shah Rukh Khan Said When He Hosted Actor At New York Restaurant: ‘When SRK visited…’

Recently, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan dined at Chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow, in New York. On 10 December, Khanna shared a photo with SRK and his team, recalling how he was holding back tears during his conversation with the actor. In his Instagram post, Khanna mentioned that his life revolves around three people, and SRK is one among them.

In the photo, SRK is seen posing for a picture with Khanna and three other people. Khanna captioned the post, “My life revolves around three people – BK, SK, SRK. My Maa, Sanjeev Kapoor, and The King,” his post read.

Khanna recalled how SRK asked him to sit with him when he visited Bungalow in New York. “As we spoke about me going to the cinema everyday to watch DDLJ with my sister and every movie of his. He became my hero for who he is. His voice. His patience. His confidence. His compassion. His friendship. To hold back my tears I looked up at the glass ceiling and saw the clear crescent of moon watching over me,” he wrote.

In conclusion, Khanna wrote, “People who lose the ones they loved the most, always find signs of them watching over us. Today is dedicated to you, sir. You holding my hand and saying, ‘Bungalow represents us. Our parents. Our ancestors. Our India.’ This is everything to a scared-paranoid-failed child from Amritsar.”

Established in March 2024, Khanna’s Bungalow has been honoured with the Michelin 2024 Bib Gourmand Award.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki. The actor is prepping for his upcoming film, tentatively titled King. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will see SRK sharing the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan. It’s expected to go on floors in the coming weeks. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the music for King. More details about the cast and crew will be announced soon.
